Welfare

Besides silk, all our fabrics are plant based. We are implementing new initiatives and partnerships to ensure that the silkworm larvae that are used in the process of silk production are not wasted but instead used to benefit the community, such as through food and medicine.

Additionally, we are making variants of our silk items that are instead made with “vegan silk”, also known as Naia. This wood-derived fabric is farmed from sustainably managed plantations. Almost all the wood purchased is certified to recognised third party criteria, including the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) .
